Psychometrist |
Our multi-disciplinary team consists of a psychologist, psychometrists, mental health nurses, social worker and a Spiritual Care worker. These health care professionals provide expertise in dealing with a variety of personal problems.
Clients must be 18 years of age or older and a physician referral is required for admission to program.
Upon admission to the program, clients are scheduled for a comprehensive intake and psychometric assessment to help identify the presenting and underlying mental health issues. From there, in partnership with clients, an individualized treatment program is formulated, based on client's personal goals and assessment needs.
Our treatment model is based on a combination of individual counselling/ assessment and psycho educational course experiences tailored to each client's specific needs. With client input, we help them improve the quality of their daily lives and assist them towards maximizing their potential as unique individuals.
Utilizing a variety of psychotherapeutic interventions, the counsellor and client work collaboratively to address the client's mental health concerns.
Brief focus courses provide a unique therapeutic experience for clients to interact with others. The goal is to educate, promote group identification and cohesion, reduce client distress, and promote successful outcomes through facilitating behavioural and attitudinal changes.
