1. When are visiting hours?

Visiting hours on the Dementia Care program are between 11a.m. and 8 p.m. Exceptions are made upon request.

2. What can I bring my loved one during his/her stay?

Personal hygiene items, clothes, dentures, visual and mobility aids, comforters, and pictures are welcome. All personal items should be appropriately labeled by family with the client's name prior to family bringing items to hospital.

Money, furniture, small appliances, sharp, and potentially harmful objects are not encouraged at the bedside. Personal valuables such as jewelry and money are encouraged to be stored in the hospital safe keeping area.

4. I have Power of Attorney to make finance and personal care decisions for my loved one. Who do I tell?

Please ensure a copy of the Power of Attorney legal document is provided to your loved one's primary nurse upon admission.
