1. How do I qualify for Withdrawal Management Programs? (Admission Criteria)
  • Men and women 16 year of age or older
  • Conscious, ambulatory and medically stable
  • Intoxicated, in active withdrawal, or who are in crisis which places them at high risk of relapsing
2. How to get into the Withdrawal Management Program? (Referrals)

Call and inquire if a bed is available. Staff will complete a quick screening over the phone to ensure it is safe for the individual to detoxify at the Centre. If an individual is referred or arrives at the Balmoral Centre withdrawal management program with health concerns, they are referred for medical/psychiatric treatment to an Emergency department. Referrals can be made anytime, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
