Self-Esteem

Course Description

Program: Personal Development Program
Length: Six Sessions
Time: One and half-hours once a week

Rationale

Self-esteem is the ability to have positive regard for ourselves in a realistic way. Self-esteem can dramatically impact an individual's ability to make healthy choices and to make personal changes in one's life. Low self-esteem impacts every aspect of our life including our relationships. If an individual believes that they are not worthy or continually feels victimized by life circumstances, the possibility for positive change can be severely compromised. Becoming more aware of our core worth will increase our ability to deal with difficult life circumstances and personal challenges.

Objectives

This six week course is designed to assist participants in gaining increased awareness of self. Participants are asked, through a series of group and individual exercises to assess their own individual gifts, talents and abilities. The focus of this course is about learning to stand up to our inner critic. In addition there will be an emphasis on learning tools which can be practiced at home so that you can learn to become your strongest ally in building self-esteem.
