Answers
1. Will I receive therapy?
Your needs will be assessed by physiotherapist and an occupational therapist. If you are able to participate you will receive therapy up to 5 times per week.
2. Who will be looking after me?
The interprofessional team consists of Nurses, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Social Worker, Dietician, Speech Language Pathologist, Rehabilitation Assistant, Therapeutic Recreationists, Spiritual Care Provider, Secretary and Physicians. The Interprofessional Team has weekly rounds to review your progress. A family conference may be arranged to review your goals, progress and discharge plans.
3. How do I get admitted to the Geriatric Assessment Unit?
Admissions are approved by the Geriatrician or the Geriatric Nurse Practitioner.
