 Benny Birch is the mascot of St. Joseph's Heritage. Every June, we celebrate his birthday with a big, outdoor Party. We have lots of good food, rides, games and entertainment for the whole family to enjoy. Local service clubs and charities and some commercial booth holders come and help us raise money by selling everything from candy floss to hot dogs to crafts. Groups donate part of their profits to help buy equipment and furniture for Bethammi Nursing Home.
In 2007, Benny will be celebrating his 26th birthday on June 8, 9 & 10 at Chippewa Park. The Organizing Committee has begun the planning and preparation for the party which will be bigger and better than ever. You can be part of this party in 1 or 2 ways:
- Get your group or club to take a booth at the party - raise funds for your own project and at the same time, help St. Joseph's Foundation raise money for Bethammi Nursing Home.
- Volunteer to help - we have openings in several areas.
