 THUMBS UP from one on behalf of many “to the organizers of Benny Birch’s 24th Birthday Party. My husband and I took our grandchildren on Saturday and, in spite of the weather, we all had a great time. There were enough rides to satisfy the kids and when we wanted something to eat, we had some great choices. It’s good to know that the proceeds go to buy equipment for Bethammi Nursing Home right here in the city. Keep up the good work!”
Benny Birch is the mascot of St. Joseph's Heritage. Every June, we celebrate his birthday with a big, outdoor Party. We have lots of good food, midway rides from Conklin Shows, games and entertainment for the whole family to enjoy. Local service clubs and charities and some commercial booth holders come and help us raise money by selling everything from candy floss to hot dogs to crafts. Groups donate part of their profits to help buy equipment and furniture for Bethammi Nursing Home.
In 2005, Benny celebrated his 24th birthday on June 10, 11 & 12 on the grounds of LPH located on Algoma St.
